Illegal border crossings have been on a decline for 15 years and are at an all time low. Trump admits this, he even admits there is no emergency. If it was an emergency, why did he not declare it 2 years ago, when he got into office and this 'emergency' was at a higher prevelance then it is now.

Regardless of what you think of the border or the wall, and whether you are on the right or the left, you should take issue with him building the wall through declaring an emergency declaration. It has never been used before in a manner so blatantly political and a perversion of the law’s intent. And it’s never been used for a project that Congress had explicitly decline to fund. It’s truly an overreach of executive authority. Even if you support the wall, it’s one thing to get it built through legislation, but are you going to like the precedent that he is setting the next time that a Democrat is in the White House?
